After having a fantastic day out at a similar event at the NEC Birmingham earlier this year, I’m really excited to be heading to the Baby & Toddler Show in Manchester later this month. Unlike the last baby exhibition I went to, this time I’ll be bringing both LPD and Pickle along so it’ll be a proper family day out. There’s an amazing array of exhibitors lined up, so in the run up to the event, I thought I’d share some of the stands I’m most looking forward to, and if it sounds like something you’d fancy – I’ve got a pair of tickets to giveaway too!
Books & Pieces
I’m REALLY looking forward to meeting Amanda from Books & Pieces, especially as I’m a member of her Books & Pieces Parent Panel. She sent us the loveliest little bundle of books for Pickle (watch out for a review coming soon), that he absolutely loves so I can’t wait to say thank you in person and to see what else she has on her stand – because I know it’ll be good! I can’t resist building Pickle’s library so it’s a good job LPD is coming with me so he can approve and/or reign in my spending habits!
Caboodle Bags
I am in desperate need of a new changing bag so I’ll be browsing the Caboodle stand with particular interest. I loved my Skiphop bag when Pickle was a baby but since we’ve not been using the pram as much, I’ve been favouring using just a normal Trespass backpack but after so much use, it’s starting to get a bit tired and I’d quite like something a bit more purpose built. They look like they have some really quality products on the website, so I’m hoping to be just as impressed with the quality in person. I’m really hoping they might have their ‘coming soon’ backpack that I can take a look at – it looks beautiful on the website.
Childs Farm
If you haven’t seen all the amazing press about Childs Farm products recently, where have you been hiding? We picked up a little sample of their moisturiser at the last show we went to and it really is so good for baby skin. Pickle is quite prone to dry skin, particularly with all the swimming he does, so I’ve been making more of an effort to incorporate it into his daily routine. I don’t know eh… he’s got a better skincare routine than I do!
EasyTots
We desperately need to do something about the amount of food that ends up on the floor, smushing its way into our carpet and generally making the place look like a real pig sty. I’ve heard lots of people rave about these EasyTots eating mats and this could be just the thing to ensure Pickle a) can’t tip his bowl up but also b) stops him from ‘windscreen-wiping’ his high chair tray and sending food flying everywhere. It’s worth a try, right?
HazelBou
I was over the moon recently to have won a £50 voucher to spend at HazelBou, and bought Pickle the most gorgeous bits of clothing. It’d be lovely to say thank you and check out what other bits they have. I’ve been eyeing up their dinosaur toys so I may have to buy Pickle a little treat if they have any of those for sale at the show! Honestly, I think I could buy the whole shop. A glorious little boutique.
And these are only a handful of the 150+ top brands displaying their wares at the show. I’m sure I’ll also get drawn in to having a browse around the prams and pushchairs, as well as nursery furniture. We’re pretty much good to go on the car seat front as we currently have six (yes, six!) car seats that will last Pickle until he’s 12 years old… but that probably won’t stop me having a gander.
