After complaining about my lack of nice maternity underwear in my 24 Weeks: Update from Mom, Kara from ChelseaMamma recommended I check out Hotmilk, a lingerie company specialising in designing maternity and nursing bras that are “empowering, feminine, practical and SEXY!“. Literally the answer to all my prayers! Even better, the very lovely team at Hotmilk heard about my plight, and very generously offered me a maternity/nursing bra to review for the blog. Amazing!
After browsing through the gorgeous selection available, I couldn’t decide whether to opt for a maternity or nursing bra style. Luckily, Hotmilk advised me that their nursing bras are suitable to wear throughout pregnancy too, so it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to choose what I wanted: the Eclipse Nursing Bra in Nude.
I wear a lot of light coloured tops and shirts, so having a nude coloured bra is essential for my day-to-day wardrobe. I particularly liked the lace detail and the subtle sheen to the fabric made this feel like a real luxury item, certainly a step up from the cheap non-wired bras I’d been wearing (no offence, Tesco… your £10 for two non-wired bras have served me well, but they’re just not a patch on Hotmilk’s Eclipse!).
Considering this is a bra without any underwiring, I couldn’t believe how much support it gave. It goes to show how much good design is worth. I finally felt like my boobs had a decent shape back to them! I could really tell the difference when I put my cheaper bras back on. With 6 sets of hooks and eyes on the back strap too, there’s plenty of room in there should my ever-expanding body continue to grow over the next few months and beyond.
I’ve already had some fun playing with the nursing cups that fold down (it’s like an X-rated version of Peek-a-boo!). The clips holding them in place are easy to un-clip and strong enough to not risk any nipple exposing accidents.
My only problem now is that I only have one. I’ll definitely be investing in more of these and already have my eye on the Chic Denim Nursing Bra and the Luminous Nursing Bra. I’ve made some very non-subtle hints to LPD that should he ever want to show me some loving appreciation and fancies buying me a present… he need look no further!
If you’re currently pregnant or nursing, I can’t recommend Hotmilk‘s lingerie enough. They’re definitely worth checking out, and I think they are 100% worth the price. Hotmilk have a really handy sizing guide including detailed instructions on how to measure yourself so you can order online with confidence. Also, grab yourself a cheeky 10% discount on your first order if you sign up to their newsletter. It goes without saying that I’m a complete convert. Thank you, Hotmilk! You’ve made this pregnant lady very happy.
***I received this item free of charge in return for an honest review.

Those nursing bras look fab! I love all of them. I remember loving my nursing bras so much I wore them even after I’ve stopped nursing 😉 They’re just so comfy, aren’t they?
Little Pickle's Mom
Ha ha, yes I can definitely see me continuing to wear this for as long as I can!

The lingerie looks so lovely. I’m still wearing my normal bras at 32 weeks pregnant but they’re starting to get so uncomfortable. I need to take a look at the Hotmilk website.
Little Pickle's Mom
Oh, definitely look into some maternity/nursing bras – I can’t TELL you how much more comfortable it is. I think I stopped wearing my normal bras around the 20 week mark and haven’t missed them ONE BIT. We’re on the home straight now….!

I wish i knew about these when i was pregnant, i had to wear sports bras because every other bra was so uncomfortable! They werent very flattering! Ill remember these if i ever decide to do it all again! 🙂
Little Pickle's Mom
Thanks Marie – I wholeheartedly recommend them! I’ve had a few sports bra wearing days too… and some just crop-top wearing days as sometimes… you’ve just got to let it all hang out! Ha ha.

I’m in desperate need of some new bras because I’m a completely different size than I was in Toby’s pregnancy so my previous nursing bras are so uncomfortable! They have some beautiful ones here, I’ll go and check them out xx
Kara
Nursing bra’s have come a long way since I had my first. Glad you love them :0)

Such gorgeous nursing lingerie! I was given most of mine from friends and most of them didn’t fit well or had seen better days!! I ended up buying a two pack from M&S. Not half as lovely as these ones!! 😉
Rachel
Such pretty bra’s and whilst I have no need for them, I kind of wish I had some bras as pretty x
